WINDSHIELD REPAIR
Windshield repair is the process of extracting air while injecting a bonding agent (liquid resin) into the broken area, bonding the broken glass surfaces together which stops the cracking process. It restores the structural integrity to the glass, and will improve the optical clarity of the broken area.
WHAT CAN BE REPAIRED?
Stone Chip Repair: Damage fits under the size of a quarter and is not directly in the driver’s line of vision.
THE APPEARANCE OF THE WINDSHIELD REPAIR
After a repair is completed, the appearance of the broken area improves, but it rarely disappears from sight. Two major factors affect the amount of scarring:
The contamination in the damage, usually caused by the length of time the damage has been in the glass.
The structure of the break itself. The more complicated the break, the heavier the scarring
You should always anticipate some scarring where the break was filled. This is why it is important that the damage not be in your line of vision when you drive. When driving, your vision should not be impaired. If it is, the windshield should be replaced
